FairMoney

FairMoney is a digital bank and stands as the largest digital lender in Nigeria. Reporting directly to the CPO my role as the Head of Design encompassed setting up the design team from zero capable of adapting to the evolving course of the product.

To that, I led the recruitment and set up a compact team comprising 5 designers and 3 researchers.

I created cross-functional processes that enabled designers to collaborate better. These processes aimed to bolster individual skills and facilitate professional growth.

Further setup growth ladders for career advancement and established coaching systems to empower designers to perform better.

Worked on the core design principles for FairMoney to drive the product and design forward and serve as tie breakers and help with better user centred negotiations

Setup effective processes for cross functional collaboration between design and other functions across 3 time zones along with the design practices and tools necessary for the teams success including foundations for visual design, design system and more

In my time here, the team has transformed the app into a digital bank with new features and products including banking and savings

I am responsible for the design strategy, defining objectives quarter over quarter, growing the skills of the team and optimizing their workflows.
